In every area of project management, communication is the oil that keeps the wheels turning. At the beginning of the project, a communication strategy must be in place. It is less likely that there will be problems that lead to delays the better the project participants and stakeholders communicate.

Open lines of communication are essential, but so is the use of reports to convey crucial project information. To monitor the triple constraint in real time and compare actual progress to anticipated progress, use status reports.
